Accessibility

The new stadium is designed to be safe, inclusive and accessible for all visitors.

Accessibility upgrades

Accessibility has been significantly improved and includes:

  • ~184 dedicated all-ability access seating across each stand
  • 15 universal access toilets
  • accessible spaces and external viewing areas.

The eastern grandstand includes a dedicated all-ability seating area and compliant aisle handrails to support safe access and movement. Food, drink and amenities are located on the Level 1 concourse. The design of the grandstand, including seating gradients, supports safe and comfortable movement for all visitors.

The western grandstand improves access across all levels. It includes:

  • accessible viewing areas in General Admission, giving wheelchair users better sightlines
  • terraces, lounges and suites designed to accommodate wheelchair users and companions
  • lift access to all levels
  • accessible toilets on every level, including adult change facilities on the General Admission concourse.

Designed for all abilities

A safe movement specialist was engaged to ensure the design meets the needs of ambulant users.
The stadium will also include:

  • an augmented hearing system
  • interior finishes designed to support people with neurodivergence and visual impairment
  • EcoGlo lighting products to assist visually impaired spectators
  • high-contrast wayfinding throughout internal and external areas.
